A week ago, Mysore City Corporation commissioner issued a list containing those who had not paid the water tariff. UR Anantha Murthy’s name was also included in it. TV9 was in a hurry to report this news and also take the opinion of some public who commented very badly about him.
But at that point of time, i had doubts about this. Because the money to be paid was shown as about one lakh. No water bill can go upto one lakh even upto 10 years, provided it is for domestic use.
Now it was confirmed that URA had no such payment dues! In today’s paper i read some people including H Govindaiah filing a memorandum to corporation commissioner to tender apology for this. TV9 which reported this news in a hurry should also report this clarification, if it has any responsibility.
